Recently, BACB Together volunteers visited Canbury Gardens in Kingston upon Thames to lend a hand with the park’s efforts to land a Green Flag Award – an international accreditation that recognises public parks and green spaces. Volunteers dedicated their time to pruning, weeding and planting new flower beds for park visitors to enjoy.
In April, BACB Together volunteers also spent time with the Essex Wildlife Trust, a leading conservation charity. Volunteers helped to clear roadside verges and construct boundary fencing to protect wildlife from disturbances, such as littering and trespassing.
These volunteering activities are a testament to BACB’s commitment to sustainability and giving back to the community. We want to thank all those involved and Employee Volunteering, who helped to arrange these activities as part of our ongoing partnership.
Volunteers erected fencing to protect the nearby wildlife.
