We are delighted to announce that BACB has been named Best Trade Finance Bank in Libya and Best Trade Finance Bank in Rwanda in Global Banking and Finance Review’s 2021 awards.
These awards come in recognition of the work BACB has done for its clients in Rwanda and in Libya throughout what was an incredibly challenging year. In difficult circumstances, the Bank overcame operational barriers to deliver trade finance services when they were most needed.
As one of the only banks offering trade finance services to clients in the Libyan oil sector, BACB’s support was of strategic importance to the country as a whole, especially during the pandemic. In Rwanda, BACB’s work helped support the government’s response to the crisis by facilitating the building of new classrooms to allow children to resume their schooling safely.
Upon news of the award wins, Mike Rolfe, Head of Client Coverage said, “We are honoured to receive such a commendation from Global Banking and Finance Review in recognition of our work in Rwanda and Libya. The transactions that we undertake in Africa are core to our business, and our ability to deliver high quality trade solutions in these markets is thanks to our long-established and trusted local relationships. A huge congratulations to all the teams involved.”
