We have a long-standing relationship with north Africa in particular, stretching back to our foundation in 1972. Today, we still enjoy strong shareholder support in this region, with full office representation in Algeria and Libya and a network of relationships that cover Morocco and Tunisia.
In Francophone western and central Africa we have also had a strong presence for a number of years. In 2016 we opened a new office in Abidjan in Côte d’Ivoire, one of the fastest growing economies in Africa.
We serve the rest of the African continent through our relationships with a number of financial institutions and correspondent banks, particularly in Nigeria and Ghana.
