This team makes sure that all credit, political or other risks faced by the Bank are correctly identified, measured and managed, while balancing the need to generate income.
Delivering day-to-day banking services, such as payment services, including processing payment orders and receipts of funds on behalf of customers using secure, automated systems and account management services.
Processing documentary letters of credit and guarantees issued or advised by BACB.
Processes, reconciles and settles treasury transactions (‘back office’ tasks). The loans section manages and minimises operational risk once facilities have been approved.
The foreign exchange section concentrate on quoting ‘spots’ in the major European currencies, plus Japanese yen, Tunisian dinar and Moroccan dirham. The capital markets section is responsible for loans and deposits, and balance sheet and interest rate risk and liquidity management of the bank.
Manages BACB’s regulatory compliance as well as its policies and practices relating to money laundering and fraud – including training and monitoring.
Responsible for producing the Bank's monthly management accounts, and is closely involved with the preparation of the annual statutory accounts and the annual operating plan. Also responsible for tax, invoice payments, and the production of regulatory reports.
Act as a centralised escalation function for onboarding and enhanced due diligence monitoring of all new and existing clients.
Departments within this function cover real estate, structured trade and commodity finance, MEA markets, Francophone Africa, North Africa, trade finance, lending and developed markets. The Bank has representative offices in Ivory Coast, Libya and Algeria.
Responsible for recruitment, training and development, employee relations and performance management.
Provides support for the bank's IT systems, including development, maintenance and project work.
